Broomhall Archaeology Dig ~ 45 & 47 Sunnybank

March 2015

In March 2015, local Broomhall volunteers worked with archaeology company Archemis to dig a 3m x 3m test pit in the park area near Sunnybank. We knew from old maps that there used to be two large Georgian houses on the site, 45 and 47 Sunnybank, and wanted to see if we could find any remains. The day was very successful and we found evidence of the two houses and a number of otherĀ finds.

See a gallery of pictures from the day below:

More information will be added to the website in the future about the history of the Sunnybank area with the archaeology findsĀ report.
