Kiveton Park is a village, the house of which have been erected by the Kiveton Park coal company for their work people; the village adjoins the Kiveton Park Colliery and is partly in the parishes of Wales, Thorpe Salvin and Aston, and about one mile south-east from Wales, with a station on the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire railway. The population was about 1400 at the time.
