The carnival route encompassed many streets in the Broomhall area. Dancers, floats and spectators all followed. Even if people didn’t attend many watched through windows as the procession passed by. Hanover way was closed on some of the first carnival days and the photos demonstrate how much it has changed compared to the present day.
